Tonight I’m going to give you a beat that is one of my all time personal favorites. It is sampled from an album called “Highlights” by the Boone Sisters. It is a gospel album and is absolutely loaded with samples! I’m not kidding when I say that this album has an abundance of material on it. Enjoy this track because I definately enjoyed making it. I remember the first time I ever heard the sample and I just about lost my mind.

Today’s beat is a pretty simple track but I love it. My step bro, who also makes DOPE beats really likes this one too. I made this beat probably about 6 months ago and have been bumping it in my car ever since. There’s a pretty cool sequence that I added in where things get switched up so listen for that. The sample is actually pretty chopped up even though it doesn’t sound like it.
For the next week at least I will be posting old beats because I let my friend borrow my turntables and mixer. He needed them because he is in the process of buying a new set. I’m getting pretty bored in my dorm room and definately craving some vinyl and my MPC!

Today I’m going to give out the first taste of my beats. While I like this track, it isn’t totally the style that I am all about. I think it has a pretty unique sound and the vocal sample blends well. I made this track from a Dionne Warwick record. Usually I try not to use artists as popular as her but this sample just caught my ear for some reason. If you make beats you know how that is.

I love hip hop music and making beats is my passion. The process of finding the perfect record to sample, finding the perfect drums, and laying down the track is something that I appreciate.
